GIRA

Gira intertwines with the design history of Barcelona since its conception in 1978 by Ferrer, Massana, and Tremoleda. Initially produced by Mobles 114, it has gained prestige by being exhibited in renowned museums such as MoMA, the British Design Museum, and MACBA.

Santa & Cole reissues the reduced version of this Spanish design classic, incorporating three main innovations: an integrated battery, elimi­nation of the cable for infinite rotation in the joint, and a spherical capsule with integrated LED. These en­hancements highlight the attributes of the original design and reinforce Gira’s position in the category of exceptional objects, solidifying its status as a unique and avant-garde piece in the relationship between the user and their lighting.
