EQUIS

The luminaire emerged from an exploration of its primary material: micro-pleated parchment. The project set out to highlight the delicacy of its pleated surface, amplifying its texture and extending its rhythm beyond the material itself. This gesture creates a softly undulating volume that echoes the rhythm of the pleats with perfect regularity.

Light passes through the ribbed diffuser, revealing the material's rich materiality while creating a subtle interplay of light and shadow that enhances the perception of depth. Conceived as a discreet yet expressive object, the luminaire provides a warm ambient glow and lends the space a calm, refined presence.

The material gives the piece its distinctive character. Its texture gently filters the light, creating depth and imbuing the volume with a warm, sophisticated expression. At the same time, its greater strength compared to conventional papers preserves the delicacy of the pleating without compromising durability, making the material itself the true protagonist of the design.
